Caring for my Half Wig from Eloquent Hair

I must confess I’ve been slacking on my posts but I figured this one would be perfect to back into the swing of things. Guys, I’ve neglected my baby. She was just sitting in the corner of my room in a Sephora bag getting dry and nappy. It was defitnitely time to show her some tlc (tender, love, & care). Lol

As you can see my half wig was looking a hot mess. There was no way I was going out with her looking like this.

1. This wig has a lot of hair. So I seperated the hair in two sections with a hair tie, and did each step I mention below to each section.

2. Then I used Doves Moisture Shampoo and ran the product through the first section of hair I divided in the sink with warm water. I didn’t scrub whatsoever. I didn’t want it to tangle up even more. I didn’t have to lather it twice because the hair was already coming clean with the first application.

3. Rinse. Apply a conditioner of your choice. One of the many things I love about this wig is that the curls never loose their pattern and there’s very minimal shedding. It was totally worth every penny I spent.

4. Rinse Again. Then I applied a conditioning treatment and combed it through with a wide tooth shower comb. It was nothing special I just wanted to deep condition the wig for a little bit after it being as dry as the Sahara for about 3 months. Once I finished I hung it in the shower for about 30 minutes.

5. After rinsing AGAIN the hair looked brand new! I let it dry about 60% before putting some Kinky Curly Knot Today and sealed it with some coconut oil and here’s what it looked like the next day for church! 🙂

Half Wig: Protective Style

Out with the old and in with the new! At least for a little while 😉 Hey Everyone! It’s been a little while, but I’m stopping by today to review this amaazzzinggg Indian Curly Half Wig that I recently purchased. Summer is almost here and I want to have a protective style, without the commitment of a sewn in weave. I figured a half wig would be the best choice for right now. I’ve been eyeing this particular wig for quite some time now. I just had to wait until the funds were right! Lol.

First let me talk about where I ordered this unit from. This company is called Eloquent Hair, it specializes in designing high quality wigs. They use 100% Pure Cuticle, Virgin and Remy hair from around the world, such as Brazil, India, Mongolia, & China just to name a few. Before actually ordering the hair I had to contact customer service at least 5 times. I just had so many questions and each and every time they were extremely polite and helpful! That in itself made me feel much more comfortable buying the hair because they were so willing to answer my questions, and they knew what they were talking about!

About the Hair.

I bought my Indian Curly Half Wig in the color 1b, 18 inches, and with Normal Hair Density. As soon as I opened the package I instantly fell in love. The hair is incredibly soft and supple. You guys, I’m not even exaggerating. I’ve had a wavy synthetic wig in the past, and it had that artificial shine to it, but this looks so natural and healthy. The wig also lies really flat on my head which I love. I’m pretty sure it’s because of the 0.5 inches of lace in the front which allows you to blend your own hair effortlessly and lets the wig lay flat, just like it’s coming from your own scalp!

Features of The Wig

Healthy 100% Indian Remy hair

Curly hair texture- these curls feature a well defined loopy “S” pattern.

Adjustable straps in the back (you choose the best fit for your needs, no worrying about if the unit will fit your head properly.)

Large Durable Combs in the front, smaller comb in the back giving you a secure fit.

Wig Clips have been added to the temples for even more security.

Durable and strong machine wefted tracks in the back which keeps the hair from shedding.

The Shipping & Packaging

In total the hair takes about three and a half weeks to reach you. But it’s totally worth the wait. Trust me. The packaging is in a first class package nothing spectacular but it is insured, which I love because the amount of money you spend it best that way. At this point the only issue I’m having with the hair is frizzing on the ends. I’m sure once I wet it and apply some leave in conditioner it will bounce right back. The texture and quality of this hair is gorgeous. I’m pretty sure this wig is going to last me a long time, just as long as I care for it properly. If you’re looking for a half wig or u-part wigs I totally recommend Eloquent Hair. Check out their website www.eloquenthair.com or their facebook page!
